Yes, that's right. A Spitfire from the Battle of Britain memorial flight will be making a flypast of the site. More details when we get them. !
This year we are happy to be supporting the work of the Staffordshire Regiment Association.
They will be holding collections over the weekend to support their Hednesford branch, which provides support to local veterans of the Staffordshire Regiment and others.
As well as our cafe selling hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and delicious home made cakes, we will also have other vendors on site, selling ice cream, and hot food choices.
This year we welcome back old friends, The Birmingham Pals. Portraying Great War infantry and more.
Another new group for this year. Welcome to Citizen soldiers, portraying WWII US 83rd Infantry.
The Spitfire flypast planned for Saturday has unfortunately been cancelled due to the ongoing issue with the Merlin engines.
Thank you to everyone who supported the event this year and I hope all who visited had a great time.
We certainly enjoyed ourselves again.
